Hoop house provides students with important experiential learning opportunities and benefits to the community

GAITHERSBURG, Md., March 3, 2017 – Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life services, is donating $15,000 to the Student Farm at Purdue University to build a hoop house, a type of greenhouse that will enable students to grow produce throughout the year. The produce will then be used at the school cafeteria and sold to local businesses. READ

Kick-off event celebrates newly expanded programing and includes service activity benefiting the Manna Food Center in Montgomery County Maryland.

 

GAITHERSBURG, Md., February 17, 2017. Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life services, hosted executives, members and graduates of Leadership Montgomery for a reception and service event today benefiting Manna Food Center’s Smart Sacks program. Held at Sodexo’s corporate headquarters for North America in Gaithersburg, Md., the event highlighted expanded programming offered by Leadership Montgomery following its expansion last month to include the Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) of Montgomery County. Somerset Mayor Jeffrey Slavin and Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz were also in attendance to support the service activity, which benefits students at Washington Grove Elementary School. Sodexo proudly served breakfast and lunch and provided employment resources to 2,000 veterans

 

GAITHERSBURG, Md., February 16, 2017 –Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life services, partnered with Arizona StandDown on February 9 and 10, to provide 4,000 meals and employment services to more than 2,000 veterans attending the annual outreach event at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona. Over 40 volunteers representing five Sodexo segments including government services, healthcare, schools, universities, and corporate services, hosted breakfast and lunch for the veterans and provided an employment resources table to help the veterans find job opportunities.   READ
